VEN operates a hazardous waste processing unit for the production of alternative fuel and alternative raw materials. The plant covers an area of 3,300 m² and is capable of treating up to 30.000 t of HW. Its unique design makes it one of the most modern and competitive hazardous waste management units in South-East Europe. In an adjacent area of the same facility, there is a unit dedicated to the reception and storage of hazardous waste.
The state-of-the-art equipment in VEN’s facilities, paired with its specialized staff and their deep knowledge and experience in matters of waste management and environmental protection, make the company an important asset in waste management projects both in Greece and abroad..
The aim of the new unit is an integrated WM scheme, which will provide the best available techniques and methods of waste treatment, utilization, and recovery..
VEN’s activities are focused on the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, through the replacement of conventional fuels with alternative ones, as well as the increase of landfills’ life expectancy.
